Hans van Veen

I have had the privilege to work with genuine global brands and organizations like Black & Decker, DeWalt, Libertel, Vodafone, Indigo and Hewlett Packard. Although every brand has its own history and ambition, no doubt there are several common practices for success. First there is the superior value driven by the inspiration and aspiration of leaders and the innovations throughout the entire chain. Authenticity, creativity, clarity and an open mind to the unknown are essential principals. Secondly it is then about the management that truly and effectively takes that road for purpose (leadership and great ideas point out the way). Discipline and methodology de determine visible success. You have to have a relentless obsession to examine and explore the user, the usage and your means. It is the engine to superior user value and it invites the organization to innovate all the time. And finally it is all about: “Without risks No glory and with fun double the value”.

Hans van Veen started his career with Black & Decker in various marketing and sales roles for the Benelux. The he moved on to the European organization where he became the business development director and vice president marketing. He concluded his 12 years with B&D first as managing director Austria & Switzerland then for the Benelux. Then he joined Libertel/Vodafone in the Netherlands as general manager Enterprise Markets where he launched the BusinessPoints concept for the SMB market. Most recently Hans was responsible as a global vice president for the fast expanding Indigo Printing business, a division of Hewlett Packard.
